Scams and experiences over the last four years

Customer service is trained to copy and paste paragraphs from a sheet, and it becomes obvious when your food doesn't get delivered more than twice in one week, and the same verbatim lines are thrown to you. They also have a random generator for compensation values if items are missing and you can literally close the conversation and make a new one and be offered a completely different amount that is still less than the missing item's cost. If you tell them that you want the item refunded, you get the value of the item, no more. That doesn't work when tips and tax are calculated on a percentage, so you are paying tips and tax on something you didn't receive. If you ever dare to order anything nice, like a real, 30+ dollar dinner, count on it sitting in an 18 year old junkies car for almost an hour while they smoke and drive to two other houses first along the way. If you ask the dashers why they drove in the wrong direction and parked in some apartment complex parking lot for half an hour with your food they act offended that you checked their GPS. One even called me a snitch for it. Dashers steal food occasionally because they can get away with it and all you get is a refund. There's zero accountability, food comes cold often, you can smell the weed on the bags sometimes, dashers have don't respond to texts, and they act entitled constantly. I had a dasher whine about a three dollar tip that was placed on an order for one lunch from a restaurant that was literally on the same block as my house, it took less than 2 minutes of their time to earn that three dollars, but I had covid and couldn't walk over there. At the end of it all, you have to realize, this company isn't going to make it once covid calms down further and the recession hits, and people stop paying for "luxuries" that are actually scams.

===Scam Alert===
Doordash also charges clients for local delivery "response fees" that are intended for THEM to pay due to their profits, and trust me, those profits are insane. Their "employees" are untaxed contractors, some of whom aren't even on their payroll, they have a 20-30% markup on everything, and they have zero upkeep associated with a business that requires workers to provide all equipment (some of which they SELL to those employees) . They get paid to do nothing but have overseas workers deal with the customer service end of things horribly, and provide a gps app.


I tried using this service a couple…

I tried using this service a couple times, but never again. The first time I ordered, waited almost 3 hours, only to find out order apparently was never received. Second time waited 2 hours, found out my food order was passed off to 3 different drivers….. never got food!? Too much drama for all the hype.


Run while you can, short the stock too

1. You can't cancel a dash pass while it's re-trying payment methods.
2. They'll try all your cards even if you set it to a locked card to try to get out of the subscription. Even if you only gave authorization for that card to be used. They will try all of them!
3. They let you sign up via app and use their service but support requires desktop to delete your account and personal data....


Never Delivered

The driver delivered my order to a completely different apartment complex that was not the same address as the one I provided


From my understanding

From my understanding, your food is supposed to be delivered to your door. More often than not, I get a door dasher that constantly acts like they are lost and I have to come down stairs to get my food. This is baffling because some doordashers drop my food off with no problem. If I'm tipping you, I want my full service!! It annoying. They charge high tale delivery fees but they barely carry out the delivery!

I hate DoorDash refund System and when ever they cancel my order. Sometimes I don't even know I got refund or not. Probably gonna stop using DoorDash I just hate it.


Honestly

Honestly, the product/food is not the issue. Some of the drivers dress like they should be working in a strip club is just a little less than professional. Even saw a guy walk up in wife beaters. Way to teach the younger generation that appearance matters when you're working. Very disappointing that this company could care less about how their drivers look.


Received ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY…

Received ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS, AMERICAN! Of, fraudulent charges on my prepaid-Visa. They don't know the format of their transactions on anybody's statements. (Mine had weird words in it). Charges were there! Info about em? No. They said the charges were "pending," but; THEY COULDN'T FIND THEM! So. Which was it? "Work with your bank". Guess what? DOOR DASH JUST LET THE TRANSACTIONS POST! DIDNT FLAG EM! DIDNT LET EM DROP OFT SO I COULD MY! FOOD MONEY BACK! THESE MAFIA THIEVES IN CAHOOTS WITH THE ROBBERS AND PERP'S, MAKE ONE BILLION DOLLARS EVERY THREE MONTHS!


Very bad service, commits credit card fraud

Not reliable for family use, and definitely unreliable for commercial use

Bank did a charge back after Doordash tried to use their system to commit credit card fraud. Ordered food for 8 staff, what came was a bag small enough to hold a folders coffee container, which clearly proved they did not have the order, but tried to abuse the tracking to show they delivered something.


Absolute CLOWN SHOW

Absolute CLOWN SHOW. They tell you you can talk to the delivery person after the order but that's a LIE. They REFUSE to give out delivery person's phone so you CANNOT CONTACT delivery person. And, as usual, you are calling someone in India or the Philippines who only know how to read a stupid ass script. They can't or they refuse to listen to your questions.
They tell me I can contact the delivery person by clicking on the order in my account. But guess what?. THE ORDER NEVER APPEARS IN MY ACCOUNT. NOT EVEN THE SUPERVISOR CAN GIVE ME AN ANSWER.

AN ABSOLUTE CIRCUS. Avoid at all costs.

Deserves 0 stars. Terrible and even worse since they allowed other customers to order stuff in the middle of orders.. picking up 50 dollars worth of food then sending a driver to dollar general while food gets cold and soggy in the car is a joke


Consistently late..

Consistently late... just not enough drivers. Don't take my order if you can't hit your estimates. I gave them three tries, I'm done.


Completely horrible

These guys are completely horrible so now they take up restaurants that are in a expanded delivery area which means you're a little bit further than your area then they wait about an hour and cancel your order and tell you that they don't have the dashers well then why take up that extra responsibility I had my order canceled three times finally ended up ordering from the local pizza joint DoorDash is really going down the tubes you guys should really go out of business and let UberEATS take over there a lot better o


Horrible

Horrible. That's all there is to say.
Had to pay $58 for an order that was sitting at the restaurant for an hour because there was no driver available. Only refund was delivery fees and tip.


The experience with DoorDash promotion…

The experience with DoorDash promotion is totally a joke. DoorDash offers a coupon for a new user for 50% off + $0 on delivery if the order is more than $20. The reality is different. The DoorDash page did not accept the coupon. When, I called to resolve this inconvenience, the agent explained that some restaurants do not accept this promotion. However, DoorDash did not state that on the coupon. Even though, I can understand the limitations of disclosing information; the company needs to add : "Some restrictions apply" like other companies. The most important part of this situation is that DoorDash does not offer any alternative for compensation such as a discount or credit. If this is the way that companies such a DoorDash try to obtain new clients, I will suggest that the head corporate office review the policies and procedures to entice new costumers. At the same time, review the compensation policies. In this global market where the competitors offers excellent costumer services, DoorDarsh need to improve its services or go home.


Good service idea

Good service idea, but super expensive! My order was total of $17.00, with all additional fees and a tip I had to pay $25.49, plus it takes about an hour to deliver, one time I had to wait 2 hours for my food to arrive because they didn't have drivers.
Pick up the food yourself, save money and time.

They consistently send my orders to restaurants far away, when there are the same restaurants close to me. Food arrives cold. If you tried to cancel, within minutes of ordering, because you know your food's going to come cold, they refuse to issue a refund. Garbage company, with a garbage customer service policy!


Due to a disagreement in total between…

Due to a disagreement in total between restaurant and door dash, they refused to deliver. The restaurant and driver called me saying I would need to come pick it up or I wouldn't get a full refund. It took over 30 minutes of chat etc to resolve. What a waste of time and terrible delivery service, not to mention a missed lunch.
